Love at Revolution Brewing

For Jennifer and Sam, a young couple who love Chicago and Beer alike, there was no better place to wed than Revolution Brewing.  The natural and rustic feel flowed into their floral decor effortlessly.  Jennifer carried a wild looking bouquet with large, beautiful blush Roses and local Dahlias surrounded with seeded eucalyptus, berries and greens.  Sam's boutonniere held a single ivory ranunculus to accent his dark blue lapel.

At cocktail hour and dinner, different sized vases, bottles and tins held hydrangea, roses, local gomphrena, dahlias, and celosia with willow eucalyptus. Wooden carved table numbers and slabs of fresh cut timber tied rustic and elegance together beautifully.  Even the cake was splashed with deep red dahlias, dark roses and seasonal berries.

Big Thank You to Linda Horton Photography for the fabulous photos and to Revolution Brewing for the amazing space.

A Fall Wedding at City View Loft

I know, I know.... it's Spring!  But I'm just now getting photos back from our fall weddings and I want to share them with you!  We designed flowers for a lovely couple, Heidi and Matt, last September.  They were married at Kitchen Chicago which is a venue right below City View Loft , where they held their reception.  City View Loft has huge windows that wrap around the room exposing the entire Chicago skyline, hence their name!  Heidi wanted a very fall inspired palette with rich textures and seasonal blooms.  We used calla lilies, coxcomb, roses, dahlias, succulents, smoke bush, bittersweet, statice, limonium and spiral eucalyptus.  The centerpieces were simple and natural, adding just the right amount of color to the tables.  Thank you to Essence Photo for the beautiful images!

Firehouse Wedding

Firehouse Chicago is a gem in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, built over 100 years ago.  It has since been restored to it's original beauty and now used as an event space complete with an outdoor patio and garden and very cool rustic touches inside.

Julie and Melissa were one of the sweetest most love filled, genuine and down to earth couples.  Designing flowers for people like this is such a joy!  Their flowers truly reflected their spirits with fun bright colors of the season.

Firehouse Chicago provided us with gorgeous rustic farm tables to display our flowers.  We made colorful mason jar centerpieces as well as teeny tiny mason jars (originally salt and pepper shakers) arrangements with red blooms.  The idea was to allow each guest to take one home.  The red blooms consisted of ranunculus, dahlias and spray roses.

We had a lot of fun with their personal flowers too!  Melissa's head wreath included billy balls and red spray roses along with rosemary.  Julie's boutonniere had a purple ranunculus, a billy ball, a spray rose and a purple gomphrena.    Rosemary was also incorporated into the ceremony chair ties.

Many thanks to the fabulous photographer Leah Moyers for capturing the flowers so artfully!  Also thank you to Michelle Marchisotta for being such a gracious host at Firehouse Chicago
