Married at City Winery

The City Winery in Chicago is one of the most beautiful places to hold a Summer wedding.  Their outdoor patio space provides the perfect amount of greenery to escape the concrete city. Tara and Mitch started their official married life beneath a birch arch spilling roses, peonies, dahlias and greenery from above.  Tara carried a beautiful bouquet of Summer blossoms including garden roses, anemones, poppies, dahlias, ranunculus, succulents, dusty miller and berries.  It suited the slight boho feel of her dress and the flower girls floral headpieces.

Inside the winery, cocktail tables held single succulents (an eco-friendly florists favorite) in vintage brass and mercury glass vessels.  Reception tables dawned the garden feel with over-flowing gold compote vases of roses, berries, olive branches, ranunculus and more surrounded by glowing votives.  Three words- Vintage, Garden, Romantic.

Special thank you to Matushek Photography for photographing this special wedding and sharing these beautiful moments with us!  Thank you to City Winery for providing a great Chicago Wedding space. And Thank you to Carlene with Naturally Yours Events for planning and executing all the deets of the Wedding- you rock!

Romantic Wedding at Hotel Baker

It was a beautiful day in early October when Alex and Taylor tied the knot.  Located in the Chicago suburb of St. Charles, Hotel Baker (a nationally registered historic location) was the back drop to this vintage fall wedding.

Seasonal bunches of ivory and burgundy blooms lined the aisle on the waterfront patio. Alex, the bride, held a bouquet bursting with roses, dahlias, ranunculus, berries and more. Taylor and his attendants wore petite red spray rose boutonnieres with scabiosa pods.    Cocktail hour was sprinkled with vintage vases filled with autumn blooms. Dinner table decor carried the same romantic feel. Bold colors of burgundy, eggplant, pinks and ivory overflowed vintage brass and jewel toned glass vessels from Nimble Well.  It was an evening to remember!

Special thanks to Jake from Two Birds Photography for capturing these details and to Jennifer with Five Grain Events for coordinating this day!

Salvage One Wedding

Salvage One is one of the most unique and magical wedding venues I've seen in Chicago.  It is an enormous space (3 floors) filled with vintage furniture, architectural remnants of buildings and other oddities.  Their collection is for sale and always changing so if you want venture in for a peek, I highly suggest it!

Jessica and Chris were married here last November.  I loved their style- very ethereal, vintage, garden like and romantic with soft tones of peach, ivory and sage green.  One of my favorite elements from this wedding was the manzanita branch and floral backdrop that we made and installed for the ceremony.  Another fun detail from the ceremony was the aisle pew flowers.  Seeded eucalyptus elegantly draped all the way to the floor with lace and satin ribbon tails.  We later repurposed these flowers on the head table to create a floral table runner.  Upstairs above all the dinner tables, we created an overgrown garden feel by hanging moss and springeri from the rafters- very cool!

A special thanks to their photographer First Blush Photos for capturing the evening so well!
