June weddings have to be some of our favorites because peonies are in season, ranunculus are grown locally, and couples love choosing bright florals for their weddings. Amelia and Shane married at Greenhouse Loft on a sunny, summer day and they were such a fun couple with great style. The fun and relaxed vibe of the flowers reflected both of their personalities.
Amelia carried a loose, natural bouquet with a slight cascade filled with peonies, ranunculus, dahlias, scabiosa, jasmine, vine, and pepper berry. She completed her unique bridal look with a flower crown adorned with petite blooms and greenery. Shane sported a classic boutonniere of spray rose, Italian ruscus, and wax flower.
The original tradition of bridesmaids involved them dressing like the bride so that they could ward off evil spirits or confuse people who might be trying to harm the bride. In modern day, this tradition has fell mostly by the wayside as couples choose bridesmaid dresses based on their wedding colors. However, we love how Amelia chose mismatched white dresses for her bridesmaid squad as it really made their bouquets pop with vibrant color.
We created tall floral arrangements that framed their ceremony space that were then repurposed behind their sweetheart table. Clusters of floral and greenery hung in glass jars off of the aisle ceremony chairs which were then placed on the cocktail tables. Items that can serve double duty are both eco-friendly and budget friendly! Their escort card table featured an eye-catching sprawling floral arrangement in a white ceramic vase that welcomed guests into the dinner space.
Centerpieces were made of rustic, white washed wooden cubes filled with flowers complimenting the bride’s bouquet. We decided to keep these arrangements low as to not overwhelm the smaller tables and to allow easy conversation for guests. We love when couples have a sweetheart table because it allows them to have a separate space to talk with each other. We decorated Amelia and Shane’s table with foam-free floral garland that created a nice focal point but didn’t obstruct the photographer’s or guests’ view of the couple. Amelia and Shane were on trend with keeping their cake simple to allow for fresh floral accents.
Thank you to Greenhouse Loft Photography for sharing these wonderful images of Amelia and Shane’s day.
