English Garden Chic

Promontory Point is like a getaway to the English countryside. Trees, gardens, and walking paths make this lake front park the perfect place for an elegant outdoor wedding. Kristen and Tim held their ceremony in the park, with lush greenery in the decor reflecting the beauty of the natural environment.

As guests arrived at the ceremony they were greeted by a welcome sign draped in eucalyptus and bay leaf garland. The ceremony took place under an arbor adorned with ivory spray roses, white garden roses, stock, and limonium and sprawling greenery. The aisle was lined with simple bundles of lemon leaf, baby blue & silver dollar eucalyptus.

Kristen's bridal bouquet featured jasmine vine and ivy in a slight cascade with seasonal white blooms including garden roses, peonies, and ranunculus. Various shades of greenery from eucalyptus and succulents brought texture and dimension to her natural look. Tim wore a boutonniere to match- a white bloom with a succulent and greens. The bridesmaids carried bouquets similar to Kristen's, but with ivory spray roses and white stock added to accentuate the clean, classic style.

The reception was held indoors, where lanterns were topped with greenery,  white spray roses, and limonium.  Even the cake was embellished with a single white rose and a succulent to complete the look.

The rustic, classic decor of this waterfront wedding transformed this urban park into the English garden of Kristen & Tim's dreams.

Urban Meets Organic

Molly & Ronnie's summer wedding at Lacuna Lofts was as bright and vibrant as they are. Not a cloud in the sky, the sun lit up their rooftop wedding and made for lifelong memories with family & friends. The backdrop of the ceremony was the one-of-a-kind Chicago skyline, while flowers and greenery brought organic, natural touches to the aisle & bridal party.

Molly & her bridesmaids carried colorful bouquets of larkspur, dahlias, roses, and stock. The peaches, pinks, and deep purples were radiant against the lavender bridesmaids dresses. The groom and family members wore spray rose boutonnieres and corsages that echoed that pink and lavender colors with touches of blue thistle and greenery.

After the ceremony, the party moved inside to the Reverie Gallery at Lacuna Lofts. Dinner tables were decorated with clear hobnail jars and the same colorful mix of florals and greens. Gold mercury glass votives surrounded the centerpieces and added to the room's warm glow. The chair flowers that had lined the aisle during the ceremony were repurposed to bring the same organic, natural look to the head table.

Ed & Aileen Photography did an amazing job with with the photos, and the event staff at Lacuna Lofts was delightful to work with, as always! Thanks to such a great couple and vendor team!

Roses, Ranunculus, and Peonies- Oh My!

It's always fun to play with some of our favorite flowers like those at Kelli & Ryan's April Wedding. Accenting the contemporary look of Greenhouse Loft, the couple chose a rustic garden style with mason jars, wooden boxes and glass bottles to hold the ivory and soft pink blooms of the season. The Groom and his men wore ivory ranunculus wrapped in twine while the Bride and her gals carried Spring filled bouquets of garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, waxflower, stock, eucalyptus and more.

Add warm glow of gold votives and lots of love and you have the recipe for this magical reception. Special thank you to Cage & Aquarium Photographers Jade & Kristin for capturing and sharing these beautiful photographs with us!
