Romantic Reds at GHL

Early March in Chicago means minimal in season growth. However, that didn't stop Jennifer & Nick from embracing a warm and romantic ora with what was available- including rich greenery, traditional roses, ranunculus, spray roses, berries and more. The design was inspired by the burgundy tones of the bridesmaids' dresses, pops of ivory to compliment the clean feel of their venue (Greenhouse Loft), hints of greenery to bring the garden feel indoors, and a touch of candle light from our gold votives to bring class and softness to the space.

The couple said their vows beneath a birch structure decorated asymmetrically with greenery and floral. This structure was then repurposed to frame the couple as they sat at their sweetheart table for dinner. Another highlight of the evening was their simple 3 tiered cake with cascading floral down the side.

All of these amazing photographs were captured by the wonderful Jamie with Jamie & Eric Photography.  Thank you so much for sharing these with us!

A Vintage Affair at Cheney Mansion

It was an unseasonably warm day in March when Alyssa & Jonathan celebrated their 5 year anniversary with close family & friends. Cheney Mansion, in Oak Brook, was the perfect setting with historical and antique touches for an intimate dinner and dancing that followed.

Their centerpieces featured a mix of terrariums and floral arrangements in gold compotes. Terrariums are a great way to be eco-friendly because they keep on living long after the celebration (zero-waste).  They also doubled as gifts to special guests in attendance.   The space was given a warm glow with our vintage inspired gold votives. The Bride wore a wrist corsage with succulents and ranunculus and a beautiful wine colored dress to distinguish herself.  An elegant alternative to tradition, much like other aspects of the day.

Thank you Ryan Moore Photography for capturing these amazing images!  And to Carlene at Naturally Yours Events for organizing the day and vision so effortlessly!
